The lovely Amelia, founder of Birch and Bone, helped beautify this year’s event with her magical florals. Amelia, previously one of the two lady-butchers of Lindy and Grundy, will put her magic hands and tastebuds to the test as one of this year’s judges.

Hedy Goldsmith 

Author of ‘Baking Out Loud’ and a 2012 and 2013 James Beard Award Finalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef, Hedy is a dessert aficionado and is in her 5th season as co-host of the Cooking Channel’s ‘Unique Sweets’. Hedy also dishes her seasonal recipes on FoodNetwork.com and is a recent transplant from Miami to Los Angeles. We’re lucky to have her and can’t wait for her to test out her sweet tooth at this year’s Fest!

Jennifer Sommer joins us as a judge for the second year in a row. Jennifer is Food & Wine’s West Coast Correspondent and the founder of SommerDish.com which provides Angelenos tips on eating, drinking, and discovering the latest and greatest around L.A.

LA Times’ Jonathan Gold needs no introduction. He’s been with us since our very first year and returns to the Food Fest as a judge again this year. He may be America’s best restaurant critic and is the only food writer ever to win a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism.  He keeps his laser-sharp palate and crystalline prose trained on small ethic restaurants in the LA area.

This year’s guest curator, Lesley Balla is the Dining Editor of Angeleno Magazine and West Coast Editor of Zagat. Her refined palate is the perfect addition to this year’s panel of judges. Lesley helped us hand-pick this year’s vendors and can’t wait to discover this year’s best bite and beyond. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NguyenNguyen Tran You might know Nguyen as the man who frequents our event yearly in a banana suit or you may know him as the owner of one of our favorite spots, Starry Kitchen. As Nguyen is gearing up for big things in 2015 he’s taking a break from the stoves (and balls!) and joining a judge at this year’s event and gets to enjoy a different side of the LA Street Food Fest. Or is he?

 

 

 

 

 

Perfect

Perfecto Rocher 

Chef Perfecto Rocher of Smoke.Oil. Salt and a third-generation paella maker from Valencia, Spain joins our judge team this year. We first met Perfecto when he was at the helm of Lazy Ox and he has been a guest chef at the LA Street Food Fest, but this year will he’s on the other side of the white booth to weigh in with the rest of our panel.
